Left-Wing Attack on Chico Tea Party: Slander Opposition v. Debate Intelligently

The Chico Tea Party in California has recently been the target of slanderous attacks by an opposition that is incapable of intelligently defending and debating.  Rather than offer logical, fact-based defenses of their own position while respecting the rights of others to voice their opinions, left-wingers in the area have posted fake Tea Party invites to an upcoming tea party rally in which racist words and imagery are used.  This from local radio station K-PAY:
Chico’s Tea Party is reacting to flyers posted around Butte County that mockingly promote a Tax Day rally in Downtown Chico next week. Tea Party member B.K. Brooks tells KPAY ”I think whoever’s behind it is trying to stir up violence against us with misinformation.”  Brooks will discuss the flier and event tomorrow with the KPAY Morning News and More.
Here is the Chico Tea Party's response:
HATEFUL FLYERS THAT FRAUDULENTLY IDENTIFY CHICO TEA PARTY PATRIOTS AND BUTTE COUNTRY REPUBLICANS HAVE BEEN POSTED AROUND CHICO ABOUT OUR UPCOMING RALLY. THESE FLYERS WERE NOT CREATED OR POSTED BY OUR GROUP. THIS CLEARLY IS A BLATANT EFFORT TO SILENCE OUR PEACEFUL VOICES AND TO PUT OUR GROUP IN A NEGATIVE LIGHT! CURRENTLY WE STILL PLAN ON HOLDING OUR RALLY TO PROVIDE CITIZENS WHO EMBRACE FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND TOLERANCE OF DISSENTING VIEWS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING OUR CORE VALUES OF CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMITED GOVERNMENT, FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND FREE MARKETS.
Again, it seems that liberals are only in favor of free thought and tolerant of others' opinions if those opinions match their own.  If those opinions conflict, then leftist attacks get vicious.
