Christine O'Donnell and SNL Skit: Suit Worthy?

I was rather appalled at the skit Saturday Night Live did last night on their season opener.  I think the whole circus surrounding Christine O'Donnell, the "in-your-face-GOP" winner for Delaware's nomination for senate race, is ridiculous.  I'm not so sure that O'Donnell is a good candidate, BUT, she is the one that the people want.  A true "thumb nosing" of the constituency to the hardline GOP.

However, what SNL did last night was horrible ... and maybe even worthy of a law suit from O'Donnell?  You be the judge:

Our society is too quick to file lawsuits, but if I were O'Donnell, I would seriously consider a lawsuit against SNL for defamation of character.  What they did was not funny -- it was just pure hate-filled, filthy character assassination.

She needs to just blow this off. The people that still watch SNL, and how many can that be...really... wouldn't vote for her anyway.

She needs to concentrate on Delaware and forget the national thing entirely. Her campaign is local, not national and that's where her focus needs to be.

Suing over this would just bring it more attention.
