Kagan Played Roll in Clinton Sexual Harassment Scandal

Ah, yes.  Another wonderful former Clinton cronie possibly making her way onto Team Obama ... [source]

Elena Kagan role in Bill Clinton sex harassment suit withheld

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Bill Clinton's presidential library is keeping secret memos and notes Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan wrote in connection with the Paula Jones sexual harassment suit.

Kagan was deeply involved in defending Clinton in the lawsuit brought by the ex-Arkansas state worker that touched off events leading to Clinton's impeachment, according to documents released Friday.

The library held back several of Kagan's memos to Clinton's top advisers in the case, saying that publicly releasing them would divulge confidential advice.

The White House has said such documents will be given only to the Senate Judiciary Committee that will hold hearings on Kagan's nomination.
Kagan will probably enjoy her reunion with fellow Clinton buddy Carol Browner.  Browner was head of the Clinton era EPA and is presently Obama's director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy.  In the final days of Clinton's administration, you might recall, Browner was involved in a document-shredding scandal in violation of a court order to preserve agency records.

Kagan, as a nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court, is presently being investigated with recently compiled documents pointing to Kagan possibly not being as "centrist" as the press and the Obama administration initially touted.  The Washington Times reports that numerous memos written by Kagan may detail her views on abortion and religious rights.  Her memos pertain specifically to partial-birth abortion and the rights of a property owner and her choice to not rent to unmarried couples.

Curious how the Obama Administration seems to have a penchant for retrieving former Clinton cabinet members ... for what purpose? ... for what agenda?
