Stupid Criminals: Laugh of the Day

Hah!  This is funny!
Two Sacramento Burglary Suspects Flee Into Police Football Game Practice

Two burglary suspects chose an extremely bad escape route while allegedly trying to flee from law enforcement.

Three alleged burglars tried to break into a home just after 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. A resident of the home called 911 and deputies arrested 19-year-old Jamario Hill as he attempted to run away, according to authorities.

Two other suspects - identified as 20-year-old James Hill, Jr. and a 17-year-old juvenile - attempted to flee across the campus at Foothill High School.

On the football field, law enforcement officers were practicing for the upcoming "Guns 'n Hoses" football game, a matchup between law enforcement and firefighters.

They spotted the two suspects running through the football stadium and noticed they matched the descriptions being broadcast by the Sacramento Police Department's helicopter, which was hovering overhead at the time.

"One of the guys said, 'I think that's him,' and we all turned around," said T.J. Price of the Sacramento Police Department. "His [the suspect's] eyes got big and he took off up the hill."

About 10 players in full football gear gave chase and tackled the two suspects, Price said.

The three suspects are brothers, according to authorities. All three face charges of attempted burglary and conspiracy.

The "Gun's 'n Hoses" game will take place on January 30th, and will mark the 36th anniversary of the charity game that used to be known as the "Pig Bowl."
