St. Charles Tea Party!!

This past Friday, Oct. 2nd, I attended the St. Charles Tea Party held at Frontier Park on the Missouri River.  My co-domestic terrorist, aka "Mom", and I arrived early in order to get a good parking spot and a place to plop down our chairs.  We checked out the booths and chatted with the various booth operators.  Country music blared from the speakers as people checked out and chatted about their signs and previous attendance at tea parties.  The weather was cloudy and with a stiff wind, but luckily we had brought our trusty T.E.A. caps ("taxed enough already") and jackets.

The line-up of speakers included Diane Jones of KLPW 1220 AM Radio, Catherine Bleisch of the Liberty Restoration Project (what an eloquent speaker at only 25 years of age!), Kevin Jackson of The Black Sphere (pictured to left) and author of his newly released book "The Big Black Lie: How I Learned the Truth About the Democrat Party" (available at Amazon) -- my favorite speaker at the 4/15 Tea Party in St. Louis, the 9/12 Tea Party in Quincy, IL and at this Tea Party!, Stephanie Rubach -- a critical care nurse and fellow Black "sell out", as she's been called, Dr. Bob Onder, physician, lawyer and former State Representative, and Paul Curtman, former U.S. Marine.

KTVI Channel 2 News and reporter Chris Regnier were there to film the event and interview participants.  I was pleased that his report was rather neutral and did not seem biased!  WOW!!!  He said that crowd estimates ranged from 1,000-2,000, which is what I would say.  (Go here to see Regnier's report both in text and video form.)

In visiting with booth operators, I met some interesting folks.  Check them out!
The St. Charles County Pachyderm Club: www.sccpachydermclub.org  They meet every Friday at noon

K&N Patriots (www.K-N-Patriots.org), a group that holds weekly opposition rallys every Saturday 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the intersections of highways K and N in O'Fallon, MO

Missouri Sovereignty Project that was asking for tea partiers to sign their petition to "institutionalize" the U.S. Constitution's 10th Amendment, which would allow Missouri to nullify any law enacted by the U.S. government that suppresses, violates, interferes with, or deters any Missourian's "unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty, and pursuit of Happiness."

Show Me Patriots, whose mission is to educate, motivate and activate patriots by providing the resources they need to spread the word and combat the influence of too much government.  Regular meetings are held in Chesterfield, MO.  They are non-partisan and focus on network with other like-minded groups to demonstrate against a federal government that has exceeded the bounds of the Constitution

Freedom Ladies, who were selling funny t-shirts (like this one about Obama) while raising funds for the USO.  (They may be contacted at freedomladies@gmail.com.)

I was a bit creeped out when a man handed me a flyer for The John Birch Society.  It was for a national opinion poll, but it looks more like a good way to get spammed with a ton of junk mail to try to get you to join.

A flyer handed out by the Tea Party Express had a handy list of good "watch dog" websites:
